Good Housekeeping published a list of 16 Advent calendars that families can send to college students as small daily holiday treats. The options range from candy and bath products to puzzles, collectibles and jewelry; prices, availability and delivery timing may vary.

Good Housekeeping has published a guide to 16 Advent calendars that parents and others can send to college students as a daily holiday-season care package. According to the guide, the selections include candy, beauty products, puzzles, collectibles and crafts, offering alternatives to a single finals-week parcel while students are away from home.

Good Housekeeping presents calendars with different formats and price points rather than a single recommended type. Its highlighted picks include a Sour Patch Kids calendar with 48 pieces over 24 days, a 12-day Burt’s Bees lip balm set, The Body Shop’s calendar of 24 trial-size bath and hair products, and a “Candy of the World” assortment with 96 pieces, four for each day.

For students who may prefer activities or keepsakes to sweets, the guide describes a 12-day set of 80-piece mini puzzles, a Marvel calendar with six characters and 24 small builds, and a craft calendar with materials for a dozen projects. Good Housekeeping also lists joke, popcorn, hot sauce, cookie, gemstone, charm bracelet and jewelry calendars, alongside a Williams-Sonoma chocolate assortment.

Good Housekeeping frames some calendars as larger gifts. The guide says Kendra Scott’s 12-day jewelry calendar includes bracelets, necklaces and earrings and gives a stated value of $840. That valuation is presented in the source material as the brand’s claim; the supplied report does not provide an independent assessment of the items or their current price.

A Daily Gift During Finals

Good Housekeeping’s practical pitch is that a calendar turns one mailed gift into multiple small surprises during a busy stretch of the academic year. The guide suggests that for students staying on campus through final classes and exams, the daily format can offer a brief break or a familiar seasonal ritual before the holiday break.

The guide also offers senders options beyond snacks. A puzzle or craft calendar may suit someone who wants an activity, while lip balm or bath products offer everyday items. These are possible uses, not guaranteed benefits: the source is a shopping guide, not a test of how students respond to the products.

For readers, the key point is to match the calendar to the recipient’s preferences and schedule. A 24-day product may not align neatly with a student’s exam dates, travel plans or campus mail access, while a 12-day option may be easier to time.

How the Guide Frames Its Picks

Good Housekeeping proposes Advent calendars as an alternative to sending a conventional care package for finals week. The guide says the products can be mailed to a student’s college address and enjoyed after Thanksgiving break. That is the article’s general premise; actual delivery depends on the retailer, shipping service, campus mailroom and the student’s location.

The list spans 12-day and 24-day calendars, with product contents ranging from food to small decorative or collectible items. Good Housekeeping gives some specific contents and counts, but the supplied material does not include a full comparison of all 16 products, independent quality testing or a complete set of current prices. Any sale labels in the original guide should be checked before purchase.

Prices and Delivery Need Checking

The supplied Good Housekeeping report does not establish whether every calendar is currently in stock, whether listed discounts remain active, or whether retailers can deliver before a particular exam period. It also does not give shipping costs, campus delivery restrictions or a detailed account of how each product was evaluated.

Some descriptions include promotional language, including the stated value of the Kendra Scott set and claims about a product’s appeal or usefulness. Those descriptions should be treated as the guide’s characterizations or brand-supplied information, not as independently verified outcomes. Students’ dietary needs, allergies, personal preferences and campus rules may also affect whether a particular calendar is suitable.

Check Listings Before Ordering

Readers considering one of the calendars should check the retailer’s current listing for price, contents, stock and delivery dates, then confirm that the student can receive packages at the campus address. For food or personal-care gifts, checking ingredients and sensitivities can help avoid an unsuitable choice.

The supplied source material does not announce a follow-up report or a later product update. The next relevant development for shoppers is whether the individual products remain available and can arrive in time for the intended holiday or finals-week countdown.
